Thimble trance
for dancer, playback and harpsichord
2006
Duration: 4 min.

This is a dance piece for which I have composed a choreography. Dancer strikes, gently touches and moves around the instrument. The electronic sounds of the playback are all drawn from the harpsichord world. As a result, an eruption of colours and gestures is born.

First performance: The first performance of this work was given on 13th of March 2007 by Jane Chapman as part of SPNMs Artistic Series 2006/7, curated by Rolf Hind.

Realised at Sonic Arts Research Centre, Belfast, Northern Ireland
