Human Landscapes II at De Observant

Human Landscapes II is a dans theater project, that has been created by Argentinian choreographer Gabriela Zuares. Complemented with music by Katarzyna (Kasia) Glowicka and video by Jan Pronk. It is a performance about the journey that people do when they part their homeland and their arrival to the new place. Dancers give their interpretation and their own vision of the departure from house and their way to the new home. The journey concludes, that those who immigrate from their land are always on the way.

Modern composers interpret Shakespeare in rare performance at Sydney Conservatorium

Acclaimed new music ensemble Halcyon presents its final program for 2007, Lily on a Black Wave, presented by the New Music Network on Saturday October 6 at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Conducted by Melbournes Mark Shiell, the theme of the evening is William Shakespeare. Halcyon has brought together a fascinating selection of modern chamber music inspired by his timeless words. With new and recent settings from Shakespeares plays and sonnets by Igor Stravinsky, Kaija Saariaho, Thomas Ades, Sally Beamish, Katarzyna Glowicka and Andrew Ford, Halcyon delivers all the drama and passion inherent in Shakespeares words, distilled into their musical essence.

Opalescence Honorable mention at Bourges Competition 2007

Opalescence written in 2006 for three female voices and electronics, was recognized at the International Competition for Electroacoutic Music and Sound Art in early June. It was selected as one of the finalists in the category "electroacoustic music with instruments". Over 100 works were submitted to this prestigious competition.
